In 1963 the Corvette Grand Sport was built to compete with the purpose-built sports racers of Europe and it’s home grown rival, the Shelby Cobra. Only 5 were ever produced, and two were converted into roadsters with louvers added to the front fenders for various profile and engine compartment pressure problems.
On his visit to the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia, you-tuber DtRockstar1 filmed Corvette Grand #002 Sport buzzing around at the Museum lot, along with a Shelby Daytona and a Jaguar C-type. The sounds from the 63′ are nothing short of epic.
