A 1964 Corvette looks a lot faster than it actually is, but this C2 Stingray actually packs the muscle worthy of its looks. Watch it hit 10.64 seconds at 136mph, an astounding figure for an old-school Corvette.
The stock-looking Stingray packs a drag-ready interior that preserves its old-world charm, with redone gauges throughout. And it’s taking on an A-body Buick Skylark with a vinyl roof, which is exactly the sort of matchup you’d see back in the Mad Men days.
What’s in this thing? Sadly, we don’t know. But the second year of the C2 generation came with a fuel-injected 327 V8 as its biggest option at 327 cu.in, packing all of 375 horsepower. It’s obvious that this bad boy—most likely a built 350 small-block—is hugely faster than that.
