Hatch riding during a 1,000-horsepower Corvette dyno run

Cordes Performance Racing puts their 1,000-horsepower C7 Corvette on the dyno. As the guy in the hatch attests, the results are Capital-L Loud.

This particular Laguna Blue Stingray pumps out that magical four-digit figure via a supercharger, headers, methanol injection, a fully-forged LTx motor, and a custom cam. Oh, and nitrous, just to top things off.

Our question is: what is the guy doing in the hatch? Adding rear tire traction? Blowing out his eardrums? After this, we reckon he’ll probably hit up some heavy-metal concerts, and maybe an air show.
