1,300 horsepower and nitrous. It’s inevitable that a ZR1 finally meets the four-figure mark. And Knight Power Racing (what a name) have arrived at that mark in a blaze of tire smoke.
“We’ve been surprised that more people haven’t gone past the 4-digit mark in these cars,” so say our friends at 1320video, “but when you’re constrained to the blower that barely squeezes under the hood with a window for the world to see, you play within the limits you have to!”
Fortunately, the guys at KP Racing have found a way to blow those limits out the door. Some of the modifications include a thoroughly built engine with all forged internals, 1300cc injectors, and a Stage 4 methanol kit. The first round of mods left 701 horsepower to the rear wheels. After another round of mods, it walked out the garage with 934 horsepower, setting a blown record in the process.
And then, it received some nitrous.
So, there’s this ZR1 showing off at the Texas Mile. Listen to it go, and bask in the glory that is the world’s fastest ZR1.
