With all the ProCharger builds we’ve seen, the supercharger kit seems to be GM’s magic bullet for huge, reliable horsepower. Now, there’s a ProCharger kit that replaces the stock supercharger on your C7 Z06—in case all that 650 horsepower just won’t quench the power thirst.
With this ProCharger installation guide Super Chevy shows you just how to increase all that power, while shedding 25 pounds from the stock Eaton R1740 unit. The ProCharger kit includes everything: starting with the stock-looking aluminum intake manifold, 4.5-inch wide intercooler, silicon hoses and all the hardware fittings as to be expected from a premium kit.
The result? A 115-horsepower increase, at 10psi and factory settings. The site’s test car produced 679 rear-wheel horsepower and 592 lb-ft of torque. Turn the boost to 15psi and add meth injection and long-tube headers, and there’s 808 horsepower to be found.
Then, ditch the stock cam, timing, and head and there’s potential for 1,600 rwhp. Some people are already hitting that magical 1,000 horsepower mark, claims Super Chevy, which makes for a super Chevy indeed.
