Custom C2-inspired Corvette is a love-hate affair

Custom C2-inspired Corvette is a love-hate affair

Every once in a while some enterprising entrepreneur, with a Sawzall and a penchant for the classics, will look at a new Corvette and think, “you know, it’s just not retro enough.”

The results are either dramatic, or horrible. But this C6 Corvette, with the bodywork of a classic split-window on top, might just be sufficiently thorough enough to make you dig it.

Built by Karl Kustom Corvettes, it’ll evidently run you at least $110,000. Possibly even more if you go for the Lingenfelter goodies. Quite a few have been built, in black, white, red, blue and grey, as seen driving around above.

Well, it certainly looks fairly well-done. But whether the proportions are to your tastes is another issue altogether.

Don’t forget that a genuine C2 Corvette can be had for the same price.
