Twin-turbo Camaro ZL1 lays down 7-second times

If you thought the Camaro ZL1 was already fast—and it is—for some, it’s not fast enough.

For people like Tom McGilton, who owns this beautiful stock-looking white ZL1, and for people like Larry Larson, who built a 540cu. in. big block with twin 88mm turbochargers. The incredible drag ZL1 now rocks 33-inch drag tires and double parachutes, and it can scorch the quarter-mile in 7.8 seconds, at 186mph.

In case you’re wondering, a regular ZL1, while no slouch of course, will do that time four seconds slower.
