Here’s a Corvette that’s a few years old, but just as unforgettable. Back in 2012, the legendary Callaway fitted a supercharger to the latest and greatest C6 Corvette ever built, the limited-edition 60th Anniversary 427 Convertible and its LS7 engine.
The result is 652 horsepower at 6,700 RPM, with 620 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 RPM. Callaway’s SC652 package added a massive 147 horsepower to the already-fast 505-horsepower proceedings. That’s good for a supercharged sprint to sixty in just 3.3 seconds.
Here, Autoweek pays a visit to Callaway in Old Lyme, Connecticut, then takes the completed car for a test drive. Listen to how good that Callaway sounds.
