Jay Leno bought this rare 1963 Corvette Stingray, “sight unseen,” apparently. Because there’s little denying the appeal of a C2 Corvette—especially with the 1963 split-window.
And on this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, it is featured as a proud new member, alongside some other notable ‘Vettes: a C6 ZR1, a few tuned C5s, and a new C7.
Leno had noted Corvette restorer and judge Mike McCluskey perform a full restoration on this rare, fuel-injected Corvette back to original condition, as flawless as when it rolled off the assembly line. Probably better than that condition, too. For a passionate collector like Leno, no car is unwelcome from his garage.
