Four years ago, the boys at Hot Rod ripped off the fiberglass from a 1985 Corvette and shaved 900 pounds off the weight. Naturally, the result went faster, stopped quicker, and handled better.
This time, they’ve taken that winning formula and bolted a cage onto what’s left, on top of a 350-horsepower small-block. It’s a Corvette Kart. Then, they faced a Lingenfelter-tuned C7 with 640 horsepower on a racetrack. What wins, lightness or sheer power? Well, at least one of them can go off-road.
