Germans, and the Dutch, love the Corvette, and the Corvette loves the autobahn: why wouldn’t it? That supercharged V8 in the ZR1 is tailor-made for long, fast highways.
So, in this now-classic video, the Dutch at Autoblog.nl took a ZR1 to Germany’s legendary highways for a shakedown. Only 70 Corvette ZR1s were exported to Europe in 2009, and this yellow flash of American performance was the very first one.
