1400-horsepower Corvette faces its greatest challenge yet

And that challenge, ladies and gentlemen, is a 1,170-horsepower Nissan GTR, which dares challenge this ProCharged C6 Z06 for, as the video says, “the most anticipated street race in the region!”

What region is that, anyway?

In this dramatically shot video, the 1,400 rwhp Z06 packs a 6.0-liter sleeved block, an F1X ProCharger, and nitrous. The “BLGTR” packs, uh, some more stuff. (The video doesn’t make it clear.) But 1,170 rwhp are generated through witchcraft and other mysterious means—and that culminates in incredible 75-200 mph runs on the street.

In the end, both racers charge down this superhighway while managing to sound incredible. When four-figure horsepower amounts is outlawed, only outlaws will have four-figure horsepower amounts.
