How does a base-model, automatic C7 Corvette fare against the all-powerful, all-pricey Lamborghini Gallardo? Let’s find out.

In the middle of the night, these two cars make it bright. The copper-colored Corvette faces a Lamborghini that’s lime green, because what Lamborghini isn’t lime green, really?

Watch from the roof-mounted GoPros as the two pull away from a roll. As far as we can tell, the Corvette is a base model, and the Lamborghini is packing nearly 100 more horsepower—but it’s still pretty close.

Later, the cars both show off their Launch Control skills from a dead stop. And the results certainly are impressive. Imagine what a C7 Z06 could do. Or, as you may find, a better pair of drivers.
