We’re not going to mince our words: this Corvette Z06, which resembles some unholy union between a fighter jet, a Great White shark fin, and the Stay-Puft man, has one of the strangest and most hardcore intakes ever to grace a drag racer.
Evidently, it works. Built by Mo Hall Motorsports to contest the Outlaw 10.5 class, the Z06 has an 833 cu. in monster V8 from Fulton Engines. Racer Mo Hall previously ran a 4.07 1/8 mile at 180 miles per hour, and this time he comes real close to topping that record, running 4.12 seconds at 179.35 mph.
It might look unusual, but with those records, we’ll take it.
