With two electric motors supplanting a turbo three-cylinder, the BMW i8 is the ultimate in hybrid engineering and able to reach 60 miles per hour in under four seconds.
Thing is: a Corvette Stingray can do that, too. Minus the electricity.
TFLcar.com put the two up to a drag test up at IMI Motorsports Complex in Colorado, nearly a mile above sea level. That seems to stack the cards against the BMW i8. But the results, after three runs, may still surprise you.
