Well, that’s gone wrong, then.
Drag racing is unique in that the speeds are incredible, but so are the crashes. And when this first-gen Camaro faces off against a brutal-looking C5 Corvette, it gets a little nose-happy on the launch and turns a wheelie into an airborne adventure.
Sending the front wheels to a near-vertical position, the gold and black Camaro lands right on the concrete barrier. Then, it skids across the whole track. The front one-piece nose come flies off before it comes to a rest in the opposite lane.
Fortunately, it seems like the driver—Dewayne “Big Daddy” Mills, the “Quickest Man on Radials”—is okay. But hey—wheelie bars are always a good thing.
