Both of these beasts have much in common: for one, they’re both white. That’s important, for reasons we can’t yet fathom. And both are the reigning champions of GM supremacy: the Z06 is the fastest Corvette and the CTS-V is the fastest Cadillac. Go figure.
And both are powered by the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8, GM’s fastest engine yet, with 650 horsepower in the Z06 and 640 in the sedan.
Yes, the Z06 wins at the end of this video—because why wouldn’t it. But it’s great to see how much the CTS-V holds on at the dragstrip, keeping its reputation as the preeminent, four-doored, luxury land barge with a monster motor.
