What’s faster: the fastest Corvette, or the fastest Porsche from the same year?

A pair of 2007-example vehicles tries to reignite the rivalry. The rules are simple: it’s the best of four runs, in a straight line, rolling from 50kph (or about 30mph for us Yanks).

And in the first two races, the little red Vette appears to lay down the law. Listen to it go! Even when it starts in second gear, giving it a bit of a handicap, the Porsche gets left behind in the dust.

In the next two races it’s more of a fair fight. The Corvette starts from 1st, and the Porsche—once again, it claws its way forward, but the Corvette eventually pulls through. Finally, the Porsche triumphs, but one out of four doesn’t help its cause.

Nevertheless, the rivalry continues unabated.
