Tracking your new Corvette Z06 around Road Atlanta sounds like a blissful day to us, one full of throttle pinning, and apex-hitting goodness. The new Corvettes award-winning Performance Data Recorder, as seen in the video above, allows for the driver to review the day’s events and learn what could be improved upon, but what occurs a little past 10 minutes into the session we’ll just fill in the blank as “Lucky”, very lucky.
According to the owner and youtube-er’s description of the session, “Driving my 2015 Corvette Zo6 with tracks unlimited at Road Atlanta. Had a great time. Lap times were slower due to the oil that was dropped all the way through turn 1 during the warmup session. It affected lap times all day. My tire pressures rose a good bit going from 30 psi to 40 psi. The spin was due to extremely high tire pressures. I could feel them letting go earlier in the lap.”
Thankfully the trailing Porsche 911 GT3 was far enough away to react to the spin! Big kudos to Lawdogg149 for posting up the video and sharing the experience with all of us.
Head on over to Corvette Forum to read more on the day.
