This, if anything, is a battle of forced induction. Case in point: that Ford GT is packing a twin-turbo system by Heffner Performance, which—true to its name—is rocking up to 1,150 horsepower. And the Lingenfelter-modified Corvette C6 Z06 has the company’s supercharger with 670 horsepower.
That’s quite a horsepower difference. But in a race like this, is that an ass-whooping or a surprise victory? After all, we’ve seen plenty of underdogs triumph in drag races.
Nope. The Ford GT destroys the Corvette. As is to be expected. But as it crosses the finish line, the Corvette still manages to look and sound epic.
